Human Resources Manager - Construction

Company Overview: GPAC is partnered with a Heavy Civil Construction contractor based in Bozeman, Montana. Specializing in water resources, dam construction, and environmental projects, we are committed to delivering high-quality work while prioritizing employee well-being and professional development. We are currently seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our Management Team and lead our HR initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Originate and lead Human Resources practices and objectives to cultivate an employee-oriented high-performance culture emphasizing empowerment, quality, productivity, standards, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the hiring process, including advertising open positions, reviewing resumes, coordinating and conducting interviews, conducting reference and background checks, and drafting offer letters.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new employees.
  • Maintain up-to-date personnel information and files.
  • Administer and track employee benefits.
  • Complete and submit paperwork to external agencies for reporting requirements.
  • Maintain the employee handbook.
  • Oversee the annual employee review process.
  • Create jobsite-specific HR policies and procedures.
  • Conduct HR-related training.
  • Occasional travel to jobsites and for recruitment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in the construction field and knowledge of OFCCP requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Experience with HR software (Viewpoint HR management experience preferred).
  • Strong ethics and morals.
  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and multitask.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interface with staff at all levels.

Compensation Package:

    • 100% paid health premiums for employee and all dependents– employee pays deductibles.
    • 5% guaranteed 401k match with another optional 5% for a total of 10% if employee contributes up to 5%
    • Vehicle allowance 
    • Phone allowance usually 
    • Annual raises and bonus package
    • Relocation assistance
